SDC – The Sustainable Design Collective

Knowledge Sharing at SDC Forum

Panel discussions with leading workplace designers, one to one conversations with suppliers, networking with colleagues and an interactive material lab… The SDC forum is being hosted by the workplace design sector specifically for the A&D community. It will provide a unique opportunity to learn and share knowledge about our drive for greater sustainability.

“The SDC forum will be a ‘first of its kind’ event designed specifically for the A&D community working in the workplace sector,” explains Harsha Kotak, co-founder at the Sustainable Design Collective. “The day is designed to be truly interactive offering designers the opportunity to hear about industry-wide efforts to drive greater environmental responsibility, wellbeing and social value.”

As well as panel discussions with members of the Sustainable Design Collective, attendees will be able to sit down with participating suppliers to discuss project requirements on a ‘one to one’ basis. Unlike ‘usual’ exhibitions, the event is smaller and includes furniture, flooring, furnishings and material suppliers.

Where it all began: The SDC’s first meeting in January 2022, at Sedus’s Clerkenwell-based showroom.

Reuse will also be a major focus. Designers can learn about new developments in the furniture sector, in particular, created to identify opportunities and facilitate reuse for major projects.

Free entry is only available for members of the A&D community ensuring the event is hosted by the industry, for the industry!
